These General Terms and Conditions (hereinafter: GTC) govern the terms and conditions for the formation and performance of contracts relating to the SGT – Stool Genomic Test service available on the website https://shop.biomteam.com.

The scope of the GTC extends to the Service Provider and patients ordering the SGT test service on the https://shop.biomteam.com website.
1. Subject of the Service
1.1. The SGT – Stool Genomic Test (hereinafter: SGT test) is a genomic examination based on stool samples that examines the entire human microbiome, providing a complete picture of the intestinal microorganism community (microbiome diversity, species richness, species ratios, etc.).
1.2. The use of the SGT test consists of the following elements:
- a) Delivery of the SGT test package (sample collection kit) to the patient by courier service.
- b) Laboratory examination and evaluation of the sample collected by the patient.
- c) Evaluation and clinical interpretation of the results within the framework of a telemedicine consultation (online), according to the separate GTC applicable to BiomTeam’s telemedicine service.
1.3. An appointment for the telemedicine consultation (assessment and evaluation) can be made through the https://www.biomteam.com website, according to the GTC conditions applicable to the “Telemedicine” service; the rules described therein also apply to the interpretation of the SGT test.
2. Ordering and Contracting
2.1. Patients can order the SGT test service on the https://shop.biomteam.com/ website.
2.2. Prior registration is not required to place an order; during the ordering process, the patient provides:
- a) their name,
- b) their delivery address,
- c) their email address and phone number,
- d) different billing information (if necessary).
2.3. The service fee for the ordered SGT test package is the current gross price (including VAT) displayed on the product page. The price of the service may change from time to time, but the price displayed at the time of ordering is always applicable to the patient.
2.4. The patient pays the service fee simultaneously with the order, via online bank card payment.
2.5. Online bank card payments are processed through the Barion system. Bank card details do not reach the Service Provider. The service provider Barion Payment Zrt. is an institution supervised by the Hungarian National Bank, license number: H-EN-I-1064/2013.
2.6. The contract for the SGT test service between the Service Provider and the patient is concluded upon electronic confirmation of the SGT test package order and successful payment of the service fee. The language of the contract is Hungarian; the Service Provider does not file the contract separately and it cannot be individually retrieved later, but the GTC is always available on the webshop.
3. Delivery and Performance
3.1. The Service Provider delivers the ordered SGT test package by courier service to the address provided by the patient.
3.2. Delivery to domestic addresses is free of charge. For international addresses, the delivery fee is determined individually; the patient may request information about this at the Service Provider’s contact details before placing the order.
3.3. The expected delivery deadline (number of business days) is included on the product page. The Service Provider strives to meet the deadline, but in case of any delay, the patient is entitled to request information by email.
3.4. The patient is obliged to inspect the package upon delivery; in case of visible damage, prepare a report with the courier and immediately notify the Service Provider.
4. Complaint Handling
4.1. The Service Provider accepts complaints at the following contact details:

4.2. In case of a verbal complaint, the Service Provider immediately examines the complaint and remedies it as soon as possible; for written complaints, a substantive response is provided within 30 days at the latest.
5. Data Processing
The processing of personal data in connection with ordering the SGT test service is governed by the Service Provider’s current data processing policy, which is available at https://shop.biomteam.com/privacy-policy. By placing an order, the patient declares that they have read and accepted the content of the data processing policy.
6. Liability
6.1. The interpretation of SGT test results is a healthcare professional activity that is performed exclusively within the framework of the telemedicine consultation provided by the Service Provider. The patient acknowledges that a report viewed independently, without medical interpretation, does not constitute a comprehensive, personalized specialist medical opinion or diagnosis.
6.2. The Service Provider’s liability exists to the extent provided by applicable healthcare and civil law regulations; the Service Provider is not liable for damages resulting from incorrect or incomplete data provided by the patient, or from sampling or handling that deviates from the instructions for use.
7. Governing Law and Amendment of GTC
7.1. The service is governed by Hungarian law. In matters not regulated by the GTC, the provisions of the Civil Code (Act V of 2013) and the Act CLIV of 1997 on Healthcare are particularly applicable.
7.2. The Service Provider is entitled to unilaterally amend the GTC. The amendment enters into force on the day specified in the GTC following its publication. For contracts already concluded, the provisions of the GTC in effect at the time of contracting apply.
